The mention of her name shocked Hades into silence, despite only being a remnant of his former self. It was enough to stir up the fragments of his memories. He sat back down on his throne and squeezed his eyes shut, lips trembling.

Persephone, the queen of the Underworld and the daughter of Demeter, the great earth mother, goddess of grain and agriculture.
