The Four Divine Beasts were very stubborn. The Vermilion Bird afflicted with anger issues only ever controlled its temper in Davey's presence, but that did not change its true nature. Because of this, in a war with the elves in the past, it attacked and captured Emilia, who was the Third Central Official, causing various other incidents afterward.0

The same went for the Azure Dragon and the other two Divine Beasts, who did not listen and just did their own thing. What about the Yellow Dragon? Was it any different?0

To those who could not control their stubbornness and tendency to wreak havoc, absolute authority had to be in place. Punishment was the remedy, just as it had been said since ancient times. Even if they did not understand each other's language, even if they had lived with different values, everything could be resolved through punishment.0

The Yellow Dragon, upon being summoned by Davey, seemed bewildered, not anticipating such a harsh beginning. But it quickly showed its confidence, displaying its power as usual. It seemed that the creature instinctively realized that Davey was not a being to be trifled with only after it had been hit by him.0

Of course, the power of the Yellow Dragon was beyond that of the Spirit Kings, so a lot of power was required to pack a punch that would make the dragon obedient. But Davey thought of it as an investment and carried it out without hesitation.0

And to the subdued beast, Davey gave a heavy warning. He did not deny the obsessive-compulsiveness outright. Instead, he settled for a compromise of keeping it to a reasonable level. And while the Yellow Dragon could not directly express its will to Davey, it understood his words. The Yellow Dragon then realized that it would be beaten to death...0
