Chapter 22 (Teaser)

“Woah!”

As it let out a roar, the Ogre Warrior raised its body with ferocious vigor and charged toward Jeros. Rushing to send out another fireball, Jeros started chanting once more; it seemed he was anxious that he wouldn’t be able to survive another attack like that.

Whoosh.

The Ogre Warrior lifted its great hammer above its head, and since the 3.5-meter-tall ogre was lifting a 3-meter-long hammer, the weapon towered above the ground. It seemed as if the hammer’s head was suspended in the air. Then, in a manner akin to a lightning strike, the Ogre Warrior quickly smashed down with its hammer. In contrast to the mysterious ways it attacked before, this strike was straightforward, but despite its simplicity, it was a powerful attack.

However, Adol swiftly moved to stand in between Jeros and the Ogre Warrior.

The Ogre Warrior’s great hammer was deflected.

“What?!”

Having relatively lower visual acuity and speed, Jeros belatedly tensed up as he realized that the Ogre Warrior was sending a strike his way. Yet, when he saw what happened next, he couldn’t help but look surprised.

This was because Adol’s actions couldn’t be explained by modern physics. The 3.5-meter-tall Ogre Warrior was a being whose weight could be more fittingly measured by tons rather than kilograms, and it had charged at Jeros at a pace faster than most sports cars. Furthermore, the Ogre Warrior carried a hefty 3-meter-long hammer as it moved at this speed, so the total force of its downward hammer strike must have been immense.
