The End of The Great Ruler
Yeah, The Great Ruler is finally finished!
Sadly, I'm back to digging a pit with my editor on our new novel, Physician's Odyssey, despite the fact that we've just finished digging one.
First of all, I would like to apologise to the readers. I know that TGR did not really have a great start as I was still in service back then, and things were really funky around. Yes, I owe you guys an apology.
Now that we're done with the apology, I would like to thank all of you! If it weren't from the constant support, I would never be able to make translating a full-time career. I do appreciate all the sponsors, and especially some of them that have supported us all the way through. Likewise, I've also seen some of the non-sponsor readers sticking with us throughout the whole journey, which I would like to thank you guys as well!
Heh, we just wasted three years of our lives with a novel! Can you actually believe it? We've been working on The Great Ruler for the past 3-4 years!
Then again, the whole journey came with farewells as well. We had helpers and editors coming and going.
HOWEVER, I would like to thank someone, my editor to be exact. He has been with me on my entire journey since Tales of Demons and Gods, and here's a speech from him!
Dogboy90— Hello to all you readers out there.
After many twists and turns and changes in the route, we finally completed the translation of The Great Ruler. As I’m sure most of you are aware at this point, I’m the editor that’s been helping Thyaeria with this novel, along with a couple of others. I’ve been with Thyaeria well before we joined Wuxia World and I plan to continue working with him with our currently active novels as well, especially since the one we are currently working on, Physician’s Odyssey, has many interesting elements in it that can grasp your attention at every turn, while giving you enough breathing room before the next big arc appears.
Anyways, back to TGR. Throughout the novel, there have been many times when I was on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what would happen next, and I’d find that I wasn’t disappointed whenever the story reaches the climax of each arc. Granted, there have been plenty of loopholes that made go “Huh?!” but, just like any other reader, I just plowed through it in the hopes that things would be explained at a later date(Not that it always came to be true). I’m sure some of you have seen near the end that I started to change the way that I was editing the scenes, mainly deciding what tenses should be present and which should be past instead of them all being past tenses, and I think that it has made the story better over all.
Granted, I’m no perfect human and I’m sure that I’ve missed a few things here and there, but hey, at least I can say that I’ve made the reading smoother than most translated works and I plan to continue to do so in the future, too. So be sure to give the novels we’ve been working on a glance and see if it suits your tastes.
Well, I think that’s all you’ll get from me, for now at least. I hope that everyone continues to support us in the coming future and I hope we can get some good feedback from you all as well. You never know, you might be able to spot something that we have missed, which will show that even the readers can be helpful when they read our works. I hope everyone here lets their minds enjoy the adventures that await you in the coming future.
Once again, I thank everyone for their support, and do keep supporting us on Physician's Odyssey!
