Novel Review

Hello, everyone. This is Wooden Spoon, greeting you with an epilogue!

I originally wanted to greet all of you last Friday, but I couldn’t find the time, so I couldn’t.

ㅜㅡㅜ Sniffle.

Still, I’m really happy that I’m able to greet you all like this.

First, I would like to thank all the readers who love and cherish the Regressor Instruction Manual.

Even I thought this was a long story. I never thought the main story would last 877 chapters. I didn’t think it would receive this much love, and I keep regretting finishing it. ㅜㅡㅜ

I’m actually really sad right now. I wish the Regressor Instruction Manual would never end, but that’s just me being greedy. I chose to write a side story because I’m sad, but it’s really difficult knowing that it’s going to end someday.

Honestly, it’s kind of early… No, it wasn’t early, but I decided to finish the main story because I was thinking about the side story. Continuing the main story became difficult at some point and I kept thinking about how I wanted to write something new. You can say that I was feeling a bit tired.

It’s necessary to provide a break from the main story with a light-hearted side story, but… it became really difficult and burdensome since I kept focusing on it.

Still, I thought I needed to write while focusing until the end, but I ended up writing a slightly disappointing ending. I thought it wasn’t that bad at the time, but the more I look back on it, the more disappointed I feel. I keep thinking that I could’ve written it a little better, so… I’m regretting it a lot.

I’m still happy that I was able to finish it and I’m also very happy that I’m able to write side stories of the characters of the Regressor Instruction Manual.

I believe it’s all thanks to the readers. It’s because all of you worked with us and kept up with the story that I was able to write this and write a story while the characters are growing.

I want to thank you again. Thank you so much for going on this journey with the characters of the Regressor Instruction Manual. I’m sure they’re thankful as well.

Ah! I’m sure all of you have a lot of questions, so I compiled a few questions. I want to answer all of your questions, but it’s realistically impossible.

[1. Side Story Publication Plan]

I’m sure some of you are worried that the protagonist is going to change because a new character appeared in the epilogue, but Lee Ki-Young will remain as the protagonist of the side story.

The episodes won’t be split as if it takes place in an omniverse, but will be serialized as closely as possible to the main story. The exact number of chapters haven’t been decided, but I plan on writing as much as I can. Obviously, I won’t be able to write 400, 500 chapters…

Personally, I’d like to go over 1,000 chapters including the main story hehehe

The story will be centered around the daily life and trivial incidents that happen in the Blue Guild and it won’t have serious stories like the threat of the world!

The only serious story I’m planning on writing is about the Mole Saint and the rest… I plan on writing whatever comes to mind. Another story could pop up while I’m writing the stories. I’m sorry that I can't tell you exactly what I’m going to be writing about. ㅜㅜ

Think of it as a sequel, like Naruto’s sequel Bortuo. I’ll restrain myself as much as I can, but please don’t criticize me… saying that it’s really random or that I’m a sloppy writer. I will always give it my all when writing.

[2. Plans to Change the Publication Time]

It seems that there were many readers who were having a hard time when the stories were released at 12AM, so it’s highly likely that the release time will be changed to 11PM. It could also change four days a week or three days a week.

I’ll post a notice as soon as it’s confirmed. Thank you for your suggestion!

[3. What happened to the title of the last 100 chapters?]

I couldn’t change it this time because I was so obsessed with having to finish the main story at all costs. ㅜㅜ I never dreamed this would last 100 chapters.

[4. About the next novel]

I think I can answer questions about Yul-Ha. Lee Yul-Ha, Lee Ki-Young’s younger sister, will appear in the next novel.

It’s too early to talk about the next novel, but it’s highly likely that the story will take place on Earth. Although I can’t reveal all the details, characters from the previous novel will be mentioned here and there.

Yul-Ha could talk about Ki-Young or Ha-Yan’s mother could talk about Ha-Yan.

It may not seem like much, but I believe the readers who enjoyed the Regressor Instruction Manual will enjoy it.

I enjoy creating my own world while writing stories like this… Of course, I plan on including these stories in a way that doesn’t interfere with the main story.

I’m not sure when it will be released, but I hope you look forward to the next novel and meeting Yul-Ha hehe

[5. The meaning of “The Regressor Instruction Manual skill has ended]

Actually, it’s symbolic. The fact that Lee Ki-Young ended the Regressor Instruction Manual meant he confirmed that he and Kim Hyun-Sung are able to understand each other even without the skill.

He knows what Hyun-Sung is thinking even without the skill… or maybe he doesn’t want to know. Maybe it’s because Kim Hyun-Sung is already living in the future.

I believe a lot of people questioned this because you were worried the bond between the two was cut off.

The answer is no. Even if the Regressor Instruction Manual ended, it still exists.

The two are still connected. This is how I’m understanding it, but I have no intention of denying the interpretations many people made! Your theories could be the answer as well!

Ah, it also means that I’ve completed writing the main story.

[6. About the current status of the characters]

This will be revealed in the side story. Many people were surprisingly curious about the characters that weren’t mentioned often, such as Dialugia, Dialuria, Max, Kasugano, and Sun Hee-Young.

Rather than telling you here, I think it’s best to mention it in the side story. This probably won’t happen, but if I don’t get the chance to mention them in the side story, I’ll make sure to include a short story about them!

[7. Regarding the baits]

Foreshadows such as who Altanus loved and whether Lee Ki-Young of the first life was really inside Lee Ki-Young’s head are things I want to leave up to you guys to interpret.

That’s the reason why I didn’t bother explaining in detail. I don’t want to completely eliminate the possibility of it appearing in the side story, but basically, I wanted to leave it to your imagination.

I’m sorry for being irresponsible about it. ㅜㅡㅜ sniffle

However, I believe being able to interpret it on your own is more fun. Of course, I plan on helping you with the ones that’s hard to draw a conclusion.

[8. About Park Deok-Gu]

I received many questions about Deok-Gu hehehe. I like him a lot because he helped me out a lot as well.

Characters who destroy cliches once in a while are really helpful and Deok-Gu helped me a lot in that part.

Park Deok-Gu’s regressor story that I wrote at some point was also very convincing.

The way he talks may seem different from others, but he’s from the modern world who crossed into this world with Hyun-Sung and Ki-Young.

I won’t say anything about Park Deok-Gu’s infinite regressor story hehehe. I’m not saying it’s right, but I think it’s fun to think that way.

[Conclusion]

There were a lot of questions, but this is all I can tell you! It’s a bit difficult to talk about the characters’ personality and likes and dislikes here.

I’m not sure when I’ll be back, but if I get the chance again, I’ll do my best to bring that information with me.

I would like to thank all the readers again. I’m sincerely grateful to all of you for giving me the strength to come this far and for allowing me to continue writing.

I love you and I look forward to your continued support.
