Woo is Back!
Hello everyone!
It’s Woo here, back with another absolute banger of a novel after Barbarian Quest.
A little about me: I’m a classic Korean-Canadian bilingual, having moved to Canada at the age of ten. After spending many years casually translating within my community, I got the chance to work on my first novel with Wuxiaworld—Barbarian Quest (go read it; I promise it’s good)—and I loved every minute of it. Bringing Korean literature to a global audience, watching people get invested in the story, and connecting with all of you has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
Now, I’m excited and grateful to bring you another story!
Daddy is Too Strong has such a fun and unique concept. It follows the ridiculously overpowered Lee Do-Jun, who—thanks to a bit of "God is fair" logic—comes with his own quirks, like being hilariously awkward after years away from the normal world. Watching him fumble through everyday life, holding down a regular job, and suddenly raising a teenage daughter who appeared out of nowhere has been a joy.
What I really love about this novel is how relatable the characters are. Sure, there are Fissures with monsters, Status Windows, and talking dragons who like eating galbi, but at its heart, this story shows real life: twenty-somethings figuring out their future, teenagers navigating school, people dealing with their jobs, and even a touch of romance and relationship drama. It’s so easy to love these characters and incredibly hard to hate them!
I’d also like to give a big thank you to Cosy for connecting me with another fantastic novel and supporting me through this learning journey, as well as the Daddy is Too Strong team in advance for all the questions I’ll probably pester them with along the way!
Thanks so much for reading my little introduction. I hope you enjoy Daddy is Too Strong as much as I’m enjoying translating it.
Best,
Woo
