In Loving Memory of Jyazen

Dear Wuxiaworld Community,

It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we inform our cherished readers of the passing of Jyazen, a beloved member of our Wuxiaworld family. Jyazen was not just an integral part of our team but also held a special place in the hearts of countless readers, having worked diligently on Overgeared and I Gave Up Being Stronger throughout his time with us.

Jyazen's passion, dedication, and commitment to bringing stories to life were unparalleled. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure that every word resonated with our readers, making him one of the most esteemed editors within our community.

Our translator for I Gave Up Being Stronger, bubly, has shared a few words in memory of Jyazen:

Dear Jyazen,

I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of such an exceptional person. Though we never had the opportunity to meet in person, the digital realm has a way of forming connections that are every bit as real and meaningful as those made face-to-face. Our conversations and collaborations over Discord are testament to that.

Your expertise, dedication, and passion for editing were evident in ‘I Gave Up Being Stronger’ that we worked on together. I learned so much from you about the intricate craft of editing web novels, and I am grateful for every moment of guidance and support you provided. The way you transformed words into seamless narratives, highlighting their essence, was truly admirable.

It's not just the technical aspects that I'll remember, but also the dedication, the passion, and the heart you poured into the project. Your unwavering commitment to producing the best work possible has left a mark on me, and I aspire to uphold the same standards of excellence in honor of your memory.

Though words can hardly convey the depth of my sorrow, please know that you are missed. Your legacy, however, lives on in the work we've accomplished together, and in the lessons and wisdom you've shared with me.

Rest in peace, dear friend.

Warmest regards,

bubly

In addition, retired penguin, Jyazen's supervisor, and representative of our entire staff, has also penned a heartfelt eulogy:

Wuxiaworld is a world of fantasy.

And fantasy is built on hopes and dreams.

Hopes and dreams that somewhere, in this universe or another, there is something better waiting for us. That somewhere, there is a world of beauty, a world of wonder, a world free of pain. A world where things can be, as long as we will them into existence.

Now, one of those who carved some of the beauty of that world into our hearts is no longer among us.

Jyazen has parted from us in a way that was as painful as it was unexpected. He was always there with us, laughing even when life handed him the bad cards. He was always there to help. He was always there to offer some advice from his years of editing experience, comfort someone who didn’t have it easy, or extend an invitation to some durian pizza. He was always there…until he wasn’t.

Jyazen wrote so, so many words for us, but now, what words can we write for him?

We hope that, whatever world you’ve gone to, it welcomes you with arms wide open. That in your new world, you’re the main character of everyone’s story. That all the things you did with us and for us will stay with you as the best karma of all.

As for those of us still taking care of the world you built…we will miss you, brother.

As a mark of respect and in memory of Jyazen's immense contribution, we will be pausing chapter releases for Overgeared and I Gave Up Being Stronger for the next three days. We believe this period will allow both our team and readers to pay tribute and reflect upon the indelible mark he has left behind.

During this difficult time, we kindly request your understanding and patience. We know many of you looked forward to Jyazen's meticulous edits and the rich experience he brought to each chapter. As we mourn this significant loss, we are reminded of the tight-knit community we have built together and are grateful for the support and understanding we have always received from you.

Please join us in sending thoughts and prayers to Jyazen's family and loved ones. We will forever cherish the memories, legacy, and stories he helped bring to life.
