Gui Guzi, High Fighting Spirits, Xu Yang and other hot-blooded fighters couldn’t restrain themselves any longer. We all wanted a piece of the Immortal Rank boss that could drop Immortal-grade equipment, and we definitely wanted a piece of the sworn enemy that was attempting to stop us from getting to the boss, Candle Dragon. There was no chance we were ever going to turn around and leave.

Nearly a hundred Dragonlight Cavalrymen galloped at the forefront while the Frostscale Cavalry and Purple Cavalry covered the rear. Even Purple Lily, Blazing Hot Lips, Hunting Moon Dynasty and Hegemon Palace had shown up as well. It wasn’t surprising though. For now, an Immortal Rank boss was hot stuff, and everyone wanted at least a piece of it.

I was among the vanguard as I rode toward Candle Dragon at top speed. The Phantom Wolf King stayed close to me to prevent any enemy from sneaking up on me.

However, the sound of horse hooves started dispersing little by little, and we all noticed that the environment was covered in shrubbery and craggy rocks that were very detrimental to a cavalry charge. This was probably why Candle Dragon had dared to leave behind only a thousand mages and archers or so to guard the valley entrance. Most mounts would lose at least 75% of their movement speed in this terrain, and in this situation it was deadly to say the least.
