The rain finally stopped when night descended. The rain-drenched island was wet and cold, especially the at the peak where the chilly wind blew in from the north. It was so cold it seemed to freeze everything. However, the indentation in the rock at the top was warm and cosy. 

Two people stuck close together in that cramped space. They had a special raincover and the cold wind was kept out. It was all inky darkness below the peak - no lights and no human activity. Hyena and Ahn Suhyeong were being astonishingly patient, and had made no moves before the planned morning. The quiet below gave one the false impression that Ahn Suhyeong and Hyena had withdrawn and given up on this hunt. 

But Xia Lei knew that this was just the calm before the storm.
