The ceiling lamp dimmed and brought the entire space into pitch-black darkness. It was a complete visual limitation. 

Xia Lei’s body made contact with the cold hard ground and at that split second, he pushed his palms against it to roll his body over to the side.

A few stray bullets hit the spot where he had fallen, generating sparks of flames against the concrete floor. 

Xia Lei stomped his foot hard, sliding a few metres away to stop beside a pillar. With a coordinate exertion of his waist and limb, he stealthily rolled behind it.

The field agents continued to fire, relying on the light at the end of their barrels. It was barely sufficient to make out their surroundings.
