There was a hubbub inside. Everyone was busy eating, drinking, and talking excitedly. Eshnunna and Hawa, who had been bombarded with a constant barrage of questions for a while, finally escaped and withdrew to a corner. They stared at the scene inside the tavern without saying a word. Evelyn passed around food, and Flora ate as if there was a hole in her stomach. Apoline was drunkenly admonishing Emmanuel, and a smiling Yeriel added a few cents as well. It wouldn’t have felt strange at all if this meeting ended, and everyone returned to the Seven Stars homebase and fell asleep there.
