As a lawyer back on earth, Lin Yun had never lost a case. He owed his success to three things: two blessings he received at birth (a photographic memory and the ability to comprehend anything he studies) and an indomitable will he forged himself.
While on a trip in Shandong province, he decided he would pay a visit to Mt. Tai. Just as he was cresting the peak, he felt a sharp pain in his chest and his vision went black.
Upon waking up, he found himself in the world of Profound Amber occupying the body of a sword slave who had shared his name. The last thing he remembered before dying was the image of a sword piercing his chest.
Through the memories his body retained the sword slave’s life, Lin Yun came to understand the brutality of this world. If he sought respect, he would have to earn it through strength. The weak found no compassion here.
Refusing to leave his fate in the hands of others, Lin Yun set out to become a sovereign. No man or beast would stop him from achieving his destiny.
With his sword in hand, he would overcome any obstacle.

This Novel has a lot going for it. An atypical MC who actually forgives some transgressions, some emotional content, and situations were characters show remorse for their actions, I am genuinely curious as to where this story is going.

But this is the worst translated/edited novel I have ever read on Wuxiaworld.

It started off fine with the occasional overlooked typo or bad bit of phrasing but I feel like it has gotten progressively worse. Chapters 61 and 62 are disasters.

At times it becomes impossible to tell who is talking/asking questions.

- odd formatting where certain sentences look like they have different spacing compared to other sentences. In Ch 61 look at the word spacing in the line: "In that moment, regardless of the spectators of those from the Mad Blade Sect and Profound Sun Sect, they were all dumbfounded."(also this is a really oddly constructed line)

- Sentences that repeat themselves

CH 61:

"In the end, Liu Yu, who was chasing after Lin Yun to kill him, was suddenly blown back..

Liu Yu, who was pursuing Lin Yun, had actually been sent flowing out."

- And frankly many of the sentences don't really make sense.

I hope the translation/editing improves or I will be dropping this title."

This novel could've been good if not for the lazy writing.

First of all, we'll forget about the part where transmigrated MC easily adjusted and didn't mourn about being separated from loved ones cause all of them just dont care.

You have your MC, a man that was a lawyer from his past life. You'll probably expect him to be calculative, articulate and persuasive, but no, none of these traits are gonna be portrayed in any kind of way.

Instead, him being a lawyer, was just written there for the convenience of the author. To explain MC's "genius" in comprehension. Clearly he could've just written him off as a prodigious teenager and it would have made much more sense.

Now, the MC isn't gonna be the sole reason why you'll drop this novel, the reason why you'll drop this novel is because of the way author powered up the MC.

In ch 117, you'll probably laugh and drop the novel right away, the writing becomes SO absurd that this power up has less probability than the probability of hitting a jackpot.

These veeery intentional coincidences are very hard to overlook, especially a power up.

Reading after that chapter is like staying with your girlfriend after being cheated on.

This review is based off of 24 chapters:

The good: it's a classic take on the typical wuxia type novel, with a twist. This time it's a lawyer that inhabits the body of a sword slave. We get an intelligent main who considers his next move strategically. There is a love interest but again as wuxia goes love is usually on the side not the main focus. Also the book is fast-paced which is pretty great considering how many slow-paced novels we have. Lastly, we got a mysterious sword chained up inside of him that has a bunch of seals on it that could be a make or break for this novel on what its about.

All in all it's worth checking out definitely. Cheers.

The bad: The sword slave died from cultivation possibly, as the novel doesn't really go into detail about his death it's just assumed. A lot of editing issues that could easily be fixed, not sure if the novel is rushed or what. But take your time cause you're causing a drop in the quality of the novel.
