[Baal’s Barrier – Chae Joochul and Heynckes]

Heynckes’ armor clattered and Chae Joochul’s cane creaked every time they moved. This symphony would be complete with their voices, but they didn’t feel the need to open their mouths. They have lived long enough to not be bothered by silence.

“This barrier seems to be a labyrinth.”

Heynckes finally spoke. They had walked for quite a while, but hadn’t come any closer to Baal. Chae Joochul paused and nodded.

“You knew that and didn’t tell me? Aren’t you wicked?”

Heynckes playfully smiled, but his comment didn’t affect Chae Joochul at all. The Immortal nonchalantly continued to walk. Heynckes shrugged and followed his friend.

“It’s no fun being with you.”

Baal’s barrier swept them away like everyone else and they found themselves together after opening their eyes.

“Hmm… This situation reminds me of the old days. Remember the Leocrad dungeon?”
