In this lab, he didn’t work with Ebola, which had the highest risk level, directly; what Young-Joon was touching was a part of the Ebola virus’ genes. It wasn’t infectious in this state, and it was no different than a clump of organic matter floating in water. It was like how a dangerous beast was safe if it had no claws.1
