First things first. The Translator is NaughtyOtter, one of the most consistent Korean translators there is. I've been following this bastard since he translated Emperor of Solo Play, and he recently just finished/added Moon Labyrinth under his experience list as well. You'll find that any work he (she?) does usually is top quality and won't go wrong with supporting his broke ass with advance chapters.
Now onto the novel proper. I'm not really very impressed by the setting and intro thus far- MC is an overpowered munchkin, who is so far ahead in terms of power level compared to the rest. Think One Punch Man. Or Goku SS3 vs Emperor Pilaf power levels.
Unfortunately for him, he got betrayed in a raid by other lesser munchkins, who claimed he sacrificed himself for the greater good. 20 years later, he reappeared and no one believe he is who he say he is.
There are additional plot points, but I'll just skip over that since the main takeaway is whether you can tolerate the MC. He is brash and abrasive, and reminds me of Weed in his self-centeredness. Sure, he got betrayed and he got some revenging to do, but this isn't 2007 and an MC being an ass doesn't come across as cool anymore. Instead, the current novel meta for scheming cool/badass MC would be Cale Henituse, or Blackie Seol Jihu for a warrior badass.
I'm also personally not very keen on MCs being all powerful right off the get go. Ever played that infamous saved game in FF7 where you start off level 99 with Ultimate weapon equipped, 999,999 gil and all materia mastered? Yeah, the game gets boring, and so would this novel if the author decides to make it combat heavy.
Like all my other reviews, I'll give this a recommend first, and will revisit at 100 chapters later. Some stories takes a while to get good and you just need to give them time. Also considering we got an excellent translator for the novel, its worth sticking with it for some time before doing a final evaluation.
