After reading 75 chapters of the novel, I can now say this with certainty.
This novel is unique because, this is the very first novel I read about Traditional Chinese Medicine. So it's kinda interesting because it opened a whole new world for me, a world I don't know much about.
But the list of bad things about this novel are also pretty glaring. For example :
1. It's a wish fulfillment novel. And it's a pretty blatant wish fulfillment novel, so if you're like me, you probably gonna feel like you're gonna throw up after a 50 chapter ish binge read. It's like reading the author pleasuring himself (which he probably did while writing this). The trick in reading a wish fulfillment novel is that, you can just reverse whatever things that MC good at, and you would know what the author weakness are. MC is handsome (the author is ugly), MC is good at Chinese medicine (the author is bad it), etc etc.
2. The author is shallow and sexist. And it shows in every description, on every narration, he sees woman as objects. Like a pokemon to collect. It would've been okay if the writer is in the know about this, and writing was a satire. But it was not. And it will eat your soul after a while.
3. The writing is all over the place. Meaning, whatever he write, that was his first draft, and he just write as he goes, that's why, a lot of people like me would have this, "wait, what?" moment, thinking how the logic didn't even remotely fit.
4. The character is one dimensional. And it worse because the author only know a limited archetype for female characters, that every female character (and also lmao, male character) are basically the same character with different physical description. It was so bad, that if you don't see the description, and just dialogue, you wouldn't know who is talking. Because every character sounded the same.
5. Borrowing a JRPG term, this novel had too many random encounter. Everything that's bad would happen if the MC around. And after so many bad things that happened randomly, a lot of people would just start wondering, if MC is the problem.
