Yu Il-Shin is a novel writer and a genius at that (as claimed by his editor-in-charge). But in this modern era where Hunters, monsters, and dungeons are rampant, he also hopes to awaken and gain some valuable abilities of his own and maybe have a successful change in career. He did awaken, and off he went to the Hunter Association to get himself examined. He was found to have awakened with Creation-type abilities and was evaluated to be of the lowest rank of all: G-rank.
Yet, something interesting happened to him. He chanced upon a strange game on his phone: God-Maker, which he hadn’t recalled installing before, but still decided to launch the mobile game anyway, trying to see what it was before uninstalling it altogether.
On the game, he found a few ants crawling on the screen, and instinctively began crushing them. During this period of awakening and playing the strange mobile game, he was also working on a new novel that was put up for serialization on a famous webnovel site.
If you are wondering whether he was killing the ants out of anger or not, and how he progressed on the game, check out On Hiatus: God’s Personal Reason!

This is a comedy. That’s the most important thing to understand. You have to read this

as a comedy and not expect it to have a protagonist who is going to do the perfect thing, outwit people, or even abuse his cheat system. Rather, you need to expect that our hero is going to do things that are going to lead to humor. Set your expectations and you’ll enjoy the book.

There is some fun world building happening so far. Our hero is a touch dense for our amusement, but it’s fun.

Honestly, the best recommendation I can give you is that I was reading this last night and hit a part that gave me an uncontrollable fit of laughter. I actually had to get out of bed to not wake up my wife and finish reading the chapter downstairs where I could laugh in peace.

I can’t guarantee you’ll get the same reaction, but I do think this is a great light read and a nice palate cleanser from more serious books. Give it a try.

I think this one has potential. There aren't enough chapters out yet for me to really make a recommendation or anything, but if the summary interests you, then I think it's worth taking a look at. I have enjoyed it so far and, while others clearly haven't, I think that this should appeal to at least a small portion of the WW user base. Give it a chance, worst case you drop it.

This dumb minimum word count always gets me. The rest of this can be ignored since I need twenty seven more words to actually submit my review.

I thought I was going to read a gatcha novel, but I still think I'm reading a gatcha novel. It reminds me of Gintama a bit, with the MC for this novel being oblivious and a coward. And kind of an idiot too.

The novel translation is excellent so far, I'm on chapter 25. It flows nicely, and I was supposed to pull an overnighter to finish work, but spent part of the night reading this instead.

So yeah, if you like one punch man, Gintama, cowardly protagonists, or in general want to read something unique on this platform and want to procrastinate - check this novel out
