The counts formed groups of three that covered for one another as they harassed the target from a distance.

A form of cooperation between the four major races had started to take shape, each making up for the other’s shortcomings while amplifying their overall strength. Such a strategy might be effective against ordinary experts, but Qianye paid them little heed and simply produced his domain.
