After the Event Dungeons turned into Field Dungeons, the smaller countries that didn’t have enough of their own Awakened to properly maintain them almost went bankrupt. The Guardian Association deployed their Awakened to these countries and demanded money under the pretense of maintenance fees. These Awakened could hunt monsters in the Field Dungeons under safer conditions than in the wild, and they even received additional money from the small countries.
