First, about half of the mercenaries she hired had been absorbed into Eugene's army, and the majority of her cavalrymen were killed or left gravely injured. In addition, as a direct descendant of a prestigious family, Lorraine brought many workers and slaves with her in this campaign. Their ownership was transferred over to Eugene after the battle.
