The warrior Hamel went on an adventure with his companions to defeat the Demon Kings, but after dying just before the final battle with the Demon Kings….
“Waaah.”
‘What the fuck!’
He was reincarnated as the descendant of his fellow warrior, Vermouth.
Hamel — no, Eugene Lionheart was reborn with the blood of the Great Vermouth.
‘My previous body held enough talent to be mistaken for a genius, but this one… there’s just no comparison.’
With a body that had higher specs right from the start, he showed explosive growth that far surpassed what he had achieved in his previous life.
Along with the unknown reasons for his reincarnation came the uneasy reality of having to coexist with demons.
He was faced with a world that made him question everything he had believed in.
Gifted with this extraordinary body since birth, as Eugene, he begins walking down the unfinished path from his previous life.

EDIT of my original NEGATIVE review at 136 upvotes, 3 downvotes and 3 comments:

(holy snap, editing a review will wipe out that upvote/downvotes count, i never expected that)

So it's time to edit this review, not even a couple days after i posted this review and completely forgot about it, the translator explained this behavior noticing all the backlash in the comments and proceded to change it a bit by adding more chapter per week to average the weekly words count and make sure it reach the current standard for the avegare korean novel around this part of the internet.

I do have to change the ratting of the novel (atm) to a good one. However that's the sort of thing that should be hammered down between translator and wuxiaworld before starting a project.

Original negative review here:

I wasn't willing to put a negative review at first but... this is more about the translation than the novel.

The novel is good. It really is.

What i'm reviewing here is the translation ethic. Half the chapters are cut in half by the translation at random points, making the novel's pacing feel goddamn awful. One of the worst out there due to action being stopped mid fight, ect... without any building up. It's abrupt, always frustrating.

And more than that, the word counts is highly variable. This is clearly a novel NO ONE should pay for as for no real reasons, some chapter barely reach 50% of the lengh of others. You could literaly be paying and receive half the content.

I spent 5m copy pasting chapters into a word count software to be sure after reading the must insatisfying chapter in a long time (due to cut) and this one the result:

chap 36.1: 1,434 words 7,995 characters, what pushed me to write this review.

chap 3: 2,609 words 14,578 characters

chap 4: 2,740 words 15,225 characters

chap 5: 2,735 words 15,320 characters

chap 11: 3,068 words 17,410 characters

chap 12.1: 1,478 words 8,372 characters

chapt 12.2: 1,969 words 11,307 characters

chapt 16: 3,125 words 17,961 characters

chap 17.1: 1,721 words 10,030 characters

chapt 17.2: 1,592 words 8,965 characters

The novel is curently at chapter 36. After chapter 11, only chapter 16 and 28 weren't cut. Making the actual chapters count on wuxiaworld 61.

This is really, really scummy.

So avoid this novel before it's completed or you'll be frustated for a while.

I like this one. It’s only got three chapters at the moment but it’s off to decent start and the author has so far done really well with setting the foundation for the novel. Chapters are decent size and nothing feels rushed. I’m interested to know where this story will go and learning about what happened to his fellow Conrad’s after his death. I’m hoping that they got reborn as well but there’s been no hint to that at all. Maybe they made peace with the remaining demon kings in order for the main character to reborn or something like that? Anyway this has been a really good start so far and I’ll definitely be sticking around to read more.

15 chapters in and when I couldn't read anymore, I was devastated, what a cliffhanger DAMN! Anyways, so far is's fantasy slice of life for now but that's totally fine and I wanna see what the MC will do next. World building is still going on a bit and not much systems are explained yet like the Gods or Churches and rest of the magic systems. It'll all be revealed later and it doesn't seem like much plotholes or story discrepancies, so we'll see how it goees. The MC feels like a more tamed Zich from The Regressed Demon Lord is Kind, still wild and not evil. A vibe I can get behind though.
