The factory was crumbling into ruin.
What had begun as a small blaze in the weapon plant’s shattered furnace had now quickly spread, carried by the wind to the adjacent buildings and structures beyond. The once-muted flames were now devouring everything in their path with ravenous intensity.
At the same time, the color of the sky began to shift, almost imperceptibly at first.
